CARSON, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer came up short in a 2-1 defeat against Colorado Mesa on Saturday afternoon at Toro Stadium.
Sophomore midfielder Emilia Sievers put the Toros (3-2-1) on the board in the second half, scoring her first goal of the season off an assist from Kaila Tone. Sievers led the attack with a shot on goal, while Betsy Lopez Rayas generated two shots to pace Dominguez Hills offensively.
The Toros finished with seven total shots, three of which were on target. Goalkeeper Audrey Haman recorded four saves while playing all 90 minutes in net.
The Toros are back in action next Saturday at home, 4:30 pm vs Cal State LA.
