COSTA MESA, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills wrapped up non-conference play with a 3-0 loss at Vanguard on Saturday afternoon inside the Freed Center.
The Lions controlled the match with set scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-12. CSUDH was limited to a .040 hitting percentage while Vanguard hit .327 as a team.
Ava Hurry led the Toros with 11 kills and 12 digs, while Bailey Fuches followed with six kills and eight digs. Anna Sanzaro and Camryn Perdue each added five kills, with Perdue also tallying a block assist. Shyla Williams chipped in two kills, three digs and a block assist.
Setter Jaiden Mojica directed the offense with 22 assists, three digs and one ace. Giovannina De Sisto also contributed three assists and three digs. Libero Nina Robles anchored the defense with a team-high 12 digs.
As a team, the Toros finished with 31 kills, 31 assists, 47 digs and four service aces.
