No. 10 Toros Remain Unbeaten in CCAA Play After Scoreless Draw

CARSON, Calif. — The No. 10 Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak and maintained sole possession of first place in the CCAA standings after battling to a 0-0 draw against Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday evening at Toro Stadium.

In their final home match of the regular season, the Toros controlled possession and created multiple scoring chances, finishing with eight total shots and two on goal. The result keeps the Toros as the only unbeaten team in the CCAA at 7-0-2 and improves their overall record to 11-2-4.

Goalkeepers Tiago Menezes and Keegan O'Brien combined for the team's ninth shutout of the season. Menezes recorded three saves in the first half before O'Brien entered after halftime, adding two more stops to preserve the clean sheet.

Alpha Sowe led the defensive effort with 90 minutes of play and two shots, while Diego Barahona and Justin Cuevas each recorded a shot on goal. Sergio Valenzuela and David Politron anchored the back line, keeping the Coyotes' attack contained throughout the match.

CSUDH will close out the regular season on the road Thursday, Nov. 6, at Cal State East Bay. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Hayward.
