CARSON, Calif. — No. 16 Cal State Dominguez Hills extended its winning streak to seven matches with a 1-0 victory over Fresno Pacific in a non-conference matchup Monday night at Toro Stadium.
Justin Cuevas delivered the game's lone goal in the 81st minute, helping the Toros secure the win and clinch a spot in the upcoming CCAA Tournament. The Toros dominated offensively, outshooting the Sunbirds 21-11 and controlling the tempo throughout the match.
Goalkeeper Tiago Menezes recorded five saves, while Aldair Marta led the attack with five shots, including two on goal. Diego Barahona and Sergio Valenzuela each added multiple attempts, keeping steady pressure on the Fresno Pacific defense.
The Toros, now 11-2-3 overall and 6-0-1 in CCAA play, sit in second place in the conference standings behind first-place Stanislaus State (7-0-1). Fresno Pacific, which will officially join the CCAA in 2026, fell to 5-7-2.
