CARSON, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills showed strong effort at the net but dropped a three-set match to Stanislaus State in CCAA play Friday night inside the Torodome.
Set scores were 19-25, 16-25 and 15-25 as the Toros battled throughout each set but couldn't overcome the Warriors' offensive rhythm.
Ava Hurry led the Toros with 10 kills, one dig and one block assist, while Bailey Fuches followed with eight kills and three digs. Setter Giovannina De Sisto totaled 13 assists, two kills and three digs, and Jaiden Mojica added 12 assists and four digs. Ally Sokolow chipped in two service aces, and Anna Sanzaro recorded two block assists.
As a team, CSUDH tallied 31 kills, 30 assists, 36 digs and four block assists while hitting .078 overall.
