Durkin's Goal Lifts Toros to 1-0 Victory Over Colorado Christian

LAKEWOOD, CO- The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros secured a 1-0 victory over Colorado Christian on Friday afternoon. The win was highlighted by a strong defensive performance and Laurel Durkin's decisive finish in the second half. With the victory, the Toros improve to 2-2-1 on the season. 

The breakthrough came in the 60th minute when Durkin netted her first goal of the season, capitalizing on a well-placed assist from Kaila Tone. Tone's cross found Durkin in the box, and she calmly slotted the ball into the net to give the Toros the lead.

CSUDH's defense held firm for the remainder of the match, with goalkeeper Gianna Stanek and the Toros backline preventing Colorado Christian from mounting any serious threats.

The Toros will look to continue their momentum as they enter CCAA play on the road against Cal State LA Saturday, September 28th at 7pm.
