CARSON — The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros fell short in a nail biting match against the Point Loma Sea Lions, 1-2.
The Toros trailed early after a 17th-minute goal by Sea Lions, but their defense held strong for the remainder of the match. The breakthrough for CSUDH came in the 81st minute when
Gavin Brummer scored his third goal of the season, assisted by
Ramiro Rosas and Mikey McKibbin. The well-timed goal gave the Toros a surge of energy, briefly tying the match at 1-1.
However, the Sea Lions responded just two minutes later with a decisive goal, regaining the lead and ultimately securing the 2-1 victory.
They will look to rebound in their next match against Biola on Saturday, September 21
st at 8pm in the Toros Stadium.
