CARSON, Calif. – In a thrilling back-and-forth contest that saw both teams exchange leads multiple times, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros edged out Biola University with a final score of 14-13. The game was a showcase of resilience and determination from both sides, with the Toros ultimately securing the victory in dramatic fashion.

The action started quickly, with Biola jumping to an early lead in the first inning thanks to a three-run homer. However, the Toros responded promptly in the bottom half with a sacrifice fly by
Noah Karliner and continued to chip away at the lead in the second inning through strategic base running and taking advantage of errors, tying the game at 3-3.

Biola University briefly reclaimed the lead in the fourth, but the Toros unleashed a powerful offensive display in the fourth inning, highlighted by
Trey Winget's two-RBI single and
Anthony Accordino's two-RBI single, propelling the Toros to an 8-4 lead. Despite Biola's efforts to close the gap in the subsequent innings, including a fifth-inning RBI single and a series of runs in the sixth and seventh, the Toros maintained their composure.

The sixth inning proved pivotal for the Toros, with Accordino and
Alex Sepulveda contributing key RBIs to extend their lead further. Despite a late surge by Biola University in the ninth inning, capitalizing on errors to tie the game at 13-13, it was Karliner who became the hero for the Toros, delivering a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to clinch the victory for Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The Toros have a bye this week and will be back at the Toro Field Friday, March 22
nd as they take on Cal State San Bernardino with a first pitch set for 3pm.
