CASRON- In an exhilarating overtime clash, The California State Dominguez Hills outlasted California State East Bay with a final score of 88-83. This intense matchup was marked by dramatic shifts in momentum and a fiercely contested overtime period that ultimately saw the Toros emerge victorious.

Following the game the Toros are now 11-11 overall and 8-8 in CCAA play, the Pioneers fall to 9-14 overall and 7-9 in CCAA play.

The game kicked off with East Bay taking the lead, outscoring the Toros 25-22 in the first quarter. However, CSUDH bounced back in the second quarter, flipping the script with a 22-9 run that showcased their resilience and strategic adjustments.

As the game progressed through the third and fourth quarters, both teams exchanged leads, with East Bay adding 17 points in the third and a significant 27 points in the fourth quarter, with Toros'
Nala Williams knocking down a three with :02 left in the game to force overtime.

In overtime, Cal State Dominguez Hills seized control, outscoring East Bay 10-5. The Toros' decisive performance in the extra period was characterized by clutch shooting and tenacious defense, propelling them to an 88-83 victory.

Nala Williams was the standout performer for the Toros, delivering an exceptional game with 42 points in 41 minutes. The mark of 42 points is the most points scored in CSUDH history as she broke the previous record of 37 points scored by Chandra Trower vs. Chico St. in December of 1982. During her record breaking night she was very efficient scoring going 14-28 from the field, which would be a career high for her. She would also go 4-9 from beyond the arc and converted 10-12 free throws. Picking up a double-double on the night she also contributed 10 rebounds, demonstrating her all-around impact on the game.

Asia Jordan provided crucial support with another double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds over 39 minutes. Her ability to control the boards, coupled with 6 assists, was vital in the Toros' offensive execution and defensive resilience.
