CARSON-The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros mounted a thrilling comeback to edge out Cal State San Marcos with a final score of 79-75.
 
The game began with Cal State San Marcos taking the lead, scoring 28 points in the first quarter to the Toros' 20. Despite the early deficit, the Toros began to chip away at San Marcos' lead, outscoring their opponents 21-18 in the second quarter. This effort narrowed the gap, setting the stage for a competitive second half.
 
As the game progressed, the Toros continued to battle, adding 17 points in the third quarter against San Marcos' 15. Heading into the final quarter, the momentum began to shift in favor of Cal State Dominguez Hills. Despite facing a deficit, Cal State Dominguez Hills showcased their fighting spirit and ability to execute under pressure, rallying to outscore San Marcos in the crucial stages of the game. Their perseverance was on full display in the fourth quarter, where they outscored San Marcos 21-14, completing the comeback and securing the victory.
 
Asia Jordan was a dominant force for the Toros securing another career double-double, playing all 40 minutes, scoring 21 points on an efficient 10-14 shooting from the field, and grabbed 13 rebounds.
 
Nala Williams provided stellar support, scoring 20 points, including two crucial three-pointers on 6-16 shooting. Williams was perfect from the free-throw line, going 6-6, and dished out seven assists, demonstrating her versatility and playmaking abilities.
