CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros outperformed the Cal State San Marcos Cougars to secure an 86-70 victory.
With this win, the Toros remain in first place in the CCAA conference with an overall record of 20-4 and CCAA record of 15-3. The Cougars fall to overall 9-15 and 8-10 in CCAA play.
The first half set the stage for an intense battle, with the Toros taking a 38-32 lead. As the second half unfolded, the Toros elevated their play, outscoring San Marcos 48-38.
Jakob Alamudun led the charge for the Toros, scoring a game-high 27 points on 6-15 shooting, including 1-2 from beyond the arc. His remarkable performance at the free-throw line, where he went 14-16, along with his six rebounds, underscored his pivotal role in the Toros' offense.
Jeremy Dent-Smith provided stellar support, contributing 19 points on efficient 7-11 shooting. His accuracy from the three-point line, hitting 3-6, combined with two steals and four assists, showcased his versatile impact on the game.
DJ Guest added 13 points on 5-7 shooting, including 1-1 from three-point range, and went for eight rebounds.
Alex Garcia was another key contributor, tallying 11 points, including 2-4 from three-point territory, and had nine rebounds. Garcia's five assists and three steals highlighted his all-around game and defensive presence.

th for their senior night as they take on Sonoma State with tipoff set for 3pm.
