CARSON, Calif. — The No. 9 Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team continued their undefeated season with a commanding 65-34 victory over Hope International on Saturday afternoon at the Torodome. The Toros, now 11-0 overall and 3-0 in CCAA play, showcased their defensive prowess and depth in the non-conference matchup.

The Toros established control early, outscoring Hope International 18-10 in the first quarter. Cristina Jones led the way with five points and six rebounds in the opening frame, while Nala Williams contributed two assists and a steal to fuel Dominguez Hills' transition game. The Toros turned up the intensity in the second quarter, holding the Royals to just two points while scoring 20 of their own. A'moree Ferrel's three-pointer and Jones' dominance on the boards helped the Toros take a commanding 38-12 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, Hope International found some rhythm offensively, scoring 16 points. However, the Toros responded with 19 points of their own, highlighted by Ferrel's pair of three-pointers and Teagan Thurman's hustle on the glass. The Toros entered the fourth quarter with a 57-28 lead. The final frame slowed offensively, but Dominguez Hills maintained their defensive pressure, limiting the Royals to just six points and sealing the dominant victory.

Jones finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points and pulling down 14 rebounds while adding four steals. Ferrel led all scorers with 14 points, shooting 4-for-10 from beyond the arc. Thurman added six points and four assists, and Kylee Edgar contributed four points and four rebounds off the bench. The Toros forced 27 turnovers and dominated the glass, outrebounding the Royals 50-32.
