CARSON, Calif. — The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team extended their unbeaten streak to four games with a commanding 96-38 victory over Bethesda University on Saturday morning at the Torodome. The Toros controlled the game from start to finish, using a dominant defense and balanced scoring to secure the blowout win.

The Toros jumped out to a 21-12 lead in the first quarter, with
Asia Jordan setting the tone early by scoring a jumper in the paint at 8:42.
Nala Williams added key plays on both ends, securing offensive rebounds and forcing turnovers.
Teagan Thurman's layup at 1:53 extended the lead, and her late free throws pushed the advantage to nine points heading into the second quarter.
Dominguez Hills turned up the pressure in the second, outscoring Bethesda 26-10. Thurman continued her stellar performance, scoring back-to-back layups at 6:02 and 5:44 to push the lead to 15. The Toros' defensive intensity forced multiple turnovers, with
Cristina Jones converting on a fastbreak layup at 4:28. Thurman's free throws with just over a minute remaining capped off the quarter, sending the Toros into halftime with a commanding 47-22 lead.
The third quarter was the most dominant for the Toros, who outscored Bethesda 31-7.
Kya Pearson opened the half with a three-pointer at 9:52, and Jordan followed with a fastbreak layup at 7:20. The Toros' bench stepped up as Jones and
Kylee Edgar combined for multiple scores in the paint. Edgar's layup at 6:43 extended the lead to 38 points, and the Toros closed the quarter with a 78-29 advantage.
The Toros maintained their dominance in the final frame, outscoring Bethesda 18-9.
Hosanna Walker drained a three-pointer at 4:34, and Edgar added a jumper at 3:55 to push the lead past 50 points.
Cristina Jones' free throw at 1:35 sealed the victory, ensuring the Toros remained undefeated on the season.
Teagan Thurman led the Toros with 22 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Jordan added 16 points and six rebounds, while Edgar contributed 12 points off the bench. The Toros forced 41 turnovers, resulting in 48 points, and dominated the paint with 52 points.
