CARSON — The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros staged a thrilling second-half comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Sonoma State.
After trailing 1-0 at halftime following a 15th-minute goal from Sonoma State, the Toros upped their offensive pressure.
Azalia Salazar led early efforts with a shot in the 2nd minute that went just over the crossbar, while
Kaila Tone contributed with two first-half shots, including a close call in the 24th minute.
The Toros found the equalizer in the 69th minute when
Alyssa Villalobos set up
Leilani Sedano, who found the net from close range to level the score 1-1. Villalobos continued to lead the offense, taking her own shot in the 67th minute, which was saved by Sonoma State.
The Toros' persistence paid off when Villalobos scored the game-winner in the 89th minute, delivering a clutch goal that sealed the 2-1 victory.

Kylie Yuzon anchored the defense with a key save in the 87th minute, helping the Toros hold onto their lead in the final minutes. The win moves CSUDH to 4-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

th to take on Cal State San Bernardino at 4:30pm.
