Brandon Lee's Goal and Magaña's Clean Sheet Propel Toros to 1-0 Over Hawaii Hilo

CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros (3-1-1) clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Hawaii Hilo Vulcans, 1-0.

Midfielder Brandon Lee was pivotal for the Toros, leading the team's offense with five shots, three of which were on goal, and netting the game's only goal in the 39th minute. Logan Kaufman also made his presence felt in the midfield, registering five shots, one on target, and providing the crucial assist for Lee's match-winning strike.

Jesus Virgen and Martin Velasquez further bolstered the CSUDH's offense as Virgen took two shots with one on target and Velasquez tallied three shot all of which were shots on goal.

Between the posts, goalkeeper Arturo Magaña had an impeccable outing. In his 90-minute appearance, Magaña denied the Vulcans on two occasions, ensuring a clean sheet. His performance, coupled with the efforts of defensive stalwarts like Zane Baumgardt and Ndifor Ginyul, played a vital role in the Toros' victory.

Despite the offensive onslaught from CSUDH, who registered a total of 29 shots with 14 on target, Lee's solitary goal proved to be the difference on the day.

The Toros will take on the Cal State LA Golden Eagles in the annual Dignity Health Sports Park matchup. The men's soccer team will take the field for a 6pm kickoff.
