SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros were held scoreless, falling 1-0 to the Point Loma Sea Lions in a tense matchup.
The game's only goal came in the first half in the 45
th minute, giving Point Loma the edge they needed to secure their victory. Despite a spirited effort by CSUDH in the second half, they were unable to find the back of the net.
For the Toros, midfielder
Jhoel Sarraude led the team with three shots, while
Michael McKibbin contributed two shots, and
Brandon Lee took one shot on goal. Despite their efforts, the Toros' offense could not find the breakthrough they needed.
Goalkeeper
Sebastian Ascencio had a notable performance, making four critical saves over the 90-minute stretch. While Ascencio was only bested once, his contributions kept the Toros in contention throughout the game.
