Box Score CARSON -- Playing in their final league tournament of their careers, senior pitcher Alyssa Olague and slugger Raquel Jaime are making every pitch and at-bat count, and this sense of urgency came through in a huge way as the duo combined to send No. 3 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills to the CCAA Championship Tournament's winners bracket after a convincing 9-3 win over No. 2 Cal State San Bernardino.

CSUDH got off to a hot start, with Jaime hitting a homer to left field in the first inning, giving them an early 1-0 lead. In the second inning, Maiya Lopez hit a two-run homer to right field, extending the Toros' lead to 3-0.
 
The Yotes tried to mount a comeback in the 6th inning, with Chavarria hitting a double to left field, scoring a run and bringing the score to 3-1. However, CSUDH quickly shut down any hopes of a comeback in the 7th inning. Jay Ross reached on a fielder's choice, and Kaylee Hull hit a single to bring in two runs, extending their lead to 7-1. Alani Nguyen also hit a single, bringing in two more runs and pushing the Toros' lead to 9-1.
 
Jaime led the way for the Toros, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, including the solo home run in the first inning. Nguyen also had a strong game, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBI, while Hull drove in a run and scored a run on her own.
 
Olague, who started the game, pitched six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs, two of which were earned. She struck out seven batters and threw 115 pitches. With this performance, Olague earned her 14th win of the season.
 
With the win, CSUDH will take on No. 4 Chico State tomorrow at 12 noon after the Wildcats shocked top-seeded Sonoma State in the day's first game, 3-0.
