Raquel Jaime and
Alyssa Olague both earned 1st-team All-CCAA nods to lead five total Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros selected to the All-CCAA teams.
Alex Davis,
Jay Ross and
Alani Nguyen rounded out the quintet with 2nd-team honors as the announcement was made by the CCAA office on the eve of the CCAA Championship Tournament.
Infielder Jaime, who is batting .318 with an on-base % of .474, sits 5th in the CCAA in OB%, 13th in runs, 15th in hits and 16th in batting average. She's enjoyed 12 games with at least two hits, including a four-game stretch against Stan State in which she collected two hits in each game as part of a nine-game hit streak. This is her second-consecutive 1st-team All-CCAA selection after being named to the team in 2022.
Olague has been the ace all year for the Cardinal and Gold, boasting a 1.31 ERA and 13-6 record with 124 strikeouts. She recently was named the CCAA Pitcher of the Week and collected her 500th strikeout last month. In the CCAA, she sits 2nd in ERA and strikeouts, 3rd in shutouts and 5th in wins. She fanned at least 10 batters on two occasions this year, including a season-high 11 against Stan State in late April.
This give Olague her third overall All-CCAA nod after earning 1st-team honors in 2019 and 2nd-team honors in 2022.
Davis has had a stellar junior campaign, batting .314 with 24 RBI, 8 doubles, and 4 home runs. In addition to boast seven multi-hit games, the outfielder has shined with her defensive play and arm, tallying six assists thus far. In the league, she sits 5th in home runs, 8th in RBI, 13th in slugging percentage and 14th in runs.
Ross has had a phenomenal season thus far in her first year in Carson, batting .331 with 46 hits and 26 runs scored, all team best marks amongst starters. She has 11 multi-hit games and sits 13th in the CCAA in runs, 15th in hits and 16th in batting average.
A transfer from Chico State, Nguyen has made her presence felt this year, clubbing seven home runs to go along with 32 hits and 18 runs scored. She has enjoyed seven multi-hit games, knocking three hits in three of those. She sits 7th in home runs in league play.
The 4th seed, CSUDH hosts the 5th seeded Cal State San Marcos in a play-in game, starting tomorrow at 2:30 pm on Toro Diamond.
