LOS ANGELES / LONG BEACH -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills track and field squad competed in a pair of local meets this week, highlighted by a pair of top 5 finishes at the Cal State LA Twilight Meet on Thursday, and at Cal State Long Beach's Beach Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Gabriel Gomez posted the best finish of the day for the Toros at CSULA, finishing 3rd in the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:39.19 to highlight five top 10 finishes. Gomez was followed by Leticia Solomon who came in 4th in 5:42.18 in the 1500, with
Jasmine Osorio placing 6th in the 800 meter run in 2:53.28, Danyell Booker finishing 8th in the shot put with a throw of 11.45 m and
Teloni Ervin coming in 8th in the 400 meter dash in a sub-1 minute 59.79.

The CSULB meet saw
Teloni Ervin improve upon her 400 meter time earlier in the week, finishing 34th in a 59.25 to highlight CSUDH's entries.
CSUDH looks to earn some qualifying marks next weekend as the Toros compete at the UC Riverside-hosted Chris Rinne Twilight, scheduled for Friday, April 21.
