ALBUQUERQUE -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills track and field team kicked off its 2023 indoor season at the University of New Mexico Collegiate Classic this weekend, attended by a bevy of Division I powerhouses that included Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, and USC among others.

Graciela Gomez posted the highest finish for the Toros on the day, placing 17th in the 3000 meter run in a time of 12:22.27. Teioni Ervin followed with a 35th in the 400 meter dash qualifying heat in a time of 1:02.46, while Gomez andÂ
Leticia Soloman placed respective 39th (6:38.83) and 40th (6:51.11) place finishes in the mile run.
Jasmine Osorio also placed a top 50 finish, coming in 44th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:58.50.
