CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros (9-1; 4-0 CCAA) delivered a commanding performance for their ninth straight win, defeating the Stanton University Fighting Elks with a final score of 76-45.
The Toros set the tone early, outpacing Stanton with a strong first-half showing that ended 36-17. Their aggressive play and tight defense created a sizable lead that they would not relinquish. In the second half, the Toros continued to dominate, adding 40 points to Stanton's 28, widening the margin of victory.
Overall, the team demonstrated strong shooting efficiency, ending with a 43.3% field goal percentage, a notable 50.0% from beyond the arc, and a 66.7% free-throw completion rate.

Jeremy Dent-Smith topped the scoring for the Toros with 16 points, shooting an efficient 6-10 from the field and a remarkable 4-6 from three-point range. His sharpshooting was complemented by his defensive efforts, contributing a steal and helping to set the tone for the Toros' aggressive play.
Za-Ontay Boothman matched Dent-Smith's 16 points, thanks to his impressive 5-9 shooting from beyond the arc. His performance off the bench was integral to the Toros' offensive firepower, adding depth and versatility to their attack.
Andre Ball was a force on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds to go with his seven points, including a three-pointer and solid free-throw shooting. His presence in the paint on both ends of the floor was a key factor in the Toros' control of the game.
