The Toros Seal Victory Against La Sierra University, 69-55

CARSON– The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros secured a commanding 69-55 victory over the La Sierra Golden Eagles.
 
The Toros set the pace early, outscoring La Sierra 26-8 in the first quarter. Their aggressive defense and efficient offense provided a solid foundation for the rest of the game. The second quarter saw the Toros extend their lead, adding 16 points to La Sierra's 13, finishing the half ahead 42-21.
 
Even with the second half effort from the Golden Eagles, the Toros dominant lead kept the victory at hand as they closed the game with the win, 69-55.
 
Asia Jordan led the Toros in scoring with 17 points. She was highly efficient, shooting 6-7 from the field and 5-6 from the free-throw line. Jordan also made her presence felt on the boards with seven rebounds and contributed defensively with two blocks.
 
Kylie Gallick added a vital 12 points, shooting an impressive 5-7 from the field. Gallick also contributed four rebounds and two blocks, showcasing her effectiveness on both ends of the court.
 
Malia Goldsmith contributed 11 points, including hitting 2-3 from beyond the arc. Goldsmith's overall floor game was impactful as she dished out three assists and recorded three steals, playing a crucial role in both the Toros' offense and defense.
 
Hosanna Walker added nine points of her own and led the team with five assists. Walker also contributed five rebounds and two blocks, demonstrating her versatility and ability to impact various aspects of the game.
 
Amaya Snowden matched Walker's scoring with nine points and added four rebounds and one assist, contributing to the team's overall performance.
 
The Toros' strong defense resulted in 14 steals and limited La Sierra to 55 points, were key to their commanding victory.
 
The Toros next game is on Saturday November 25th, as they take on Dominican University at 2pm in San Rafael.
