Hilstock's Double-Double Leads Toros Over Red Leafs, 82-60

ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros delivered an impressive performance in their victory against the Simon Fraser Red Leafs, finishing with a commanding 82-60 win.
 
The Toros set the pace early in the game, dominating the first half with a remarkable 54 points compared to Simon Fraser's 30. In the second half the Red Leafs attempted a comeback, matching their first-half total with another 30 points. However, the Toros maintained their lead, adding 28 points to their tally. The consistency in their play ensured they kept a comfortable margin throughout the game and sealed their first victory of the season, 82-60.
 
Jordan Hilstock not only added 10 points, but also led the team with 10 rebounds, achieving his first double-double on the season. His 3-4 shooting from the three-point line and four steals were instrumental in both the offensive and defensive ends.
 
Jakob Alamudun, led the Toros in scoring with 13 points. He shot efficiently from the field, going 6-11, including 1-2 from beyond the arc. Alamudun also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists, showcasing his all-around game.
 
Jacob Washington contributed significantly off the bench, scoring 14 points on 5-8 shooting, including a remarkable 3-5 from three-point range. His scoring off the bench was a vital component of the Toros' offensive firepower.
 
DJ Guest added 12 points, shooting an impressive 6-9 from the field. Andre Ball also played a crucial role as he scored 11 points. He was effective from long range, hitting 2 of 4 three-point attempts, and contributed three rebounds and two assists.
 
Other notable contributors included Alex Garcia and Za-Ontay Boothman, who added eight and three points respectively. Garcia's shooting, including two three-pointers, and Boothman's team-high seven assists, were critical to the Toros' well-rounded team performance.
 
The Toros next game is on Saturday, November 18th as they take on the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds at 3pm in the Torodome.
