DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills dance team traveled to Daytona Beach to partake the annual NDA College National Championship, a Varsity Spirit brand, after qualifying back in January.
 
On Friday, the Toros held the top spot during the preliminary round until the final two performances by competitors from Valdosta State and Lindenwood which left Dominguez Hills in third place out of 10 teams with a score of 88.86. Saturday morning's performances were the final of the weekend and each time began the day with a clean slate; no scores carried over from the previous day. After the scores were tabulated the judges began announcing the top six teams and Dominguez Hills came in third place with a score of 93.06, narrowly missing the 2nd place team who had a score of 93.08.
 
This competition ends the 2021-22 competitive season for the team.
