TURLOCK – Playing in front of a hometown crowd,
Damon Treadwell put on a show in his homecoming in game one, but the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team's offense went silent in a 3-1 and 4-1 doubleheader loss to host Stanislaus State Saturday.
Game 1 – STAN 4, CSUDH 1

Damon Treadwell got off to an excellent start by hurling hitless innings. It was until the fifth inning when the right-hander gave up a knock, which was a two-out single to third base. Treadwell got out of the inning with a popout.
The Toros (9-8, 4-3 CCAA) had a golden opportunity to score in the first run in the sixth inning.
Eric Smelko made it to third base with two out but was stranded. The Warriors (6-6, 4-3 CCAA) also had an opportunity in the sixth inning and was successful at it. Leadoff man Grant Bunker hit an RBI triple to score in the game's first run and then he reached the plate on Trevor McInerney's base hit to take a 2-0 lead.
The Warriors got their third run in game in the seventh. Cole Thompson hit an RBI double down the left field line to bring in Danny Murphy.
Dominguez Hills' only run scored came in the ninth. Smelko singled to lead off and eventually scored when
Anthony Accordino hit an RBI single to left center.
Treadwell, who threw his first complete-game, ended the day with four strikeouts and no walks. His opposite, Tony Jacob, also went from start to finish and finished with six strikeouts.
Game 2 – STAN 3, CSUDH 1
After a quiet first inning, the Warriors broke the ice on a mistake by the Toros. Alex Solis led off with a double and scored on a throwing error when Joseph Hauck successfully reached first base on a bunt.
The Warriors would add two more runs in the third inning on a two-run single.
Dominguez Hills' only run of the second game was scored in the fourth.
Caleb Ellis hit a one-out single to right and would score on
Connor Bell's RBI hit to left center.
Nate Ortiz got the starting nod of the scheduled seven-inning game, going 4.1 and striking out six.
Carlos Bracamontes took over and went the rest of the way striking out four.
The two sides will wrap up the four-game CCAA series Sunday at 11 a.m.
