Box Score 2 ROHNERT PARK -- Coming off her first CCAA Pitcher of the Week nod,
Ashley Wies picked up where she left off after fanning 11 Seawolf batters and scattering three hits without an earned run against en route to a 4-1 win over the hosts in game one of today's twinbill.

Dafne Bravo (pictured) pinch-hit solo blast in the 7th proved to be the game winner as the Toros split today's doubleheader as SSU forged a 9-1 (5 inning) win in the nightcap.
Wies was dominant in the circle, fanning five of the first six batters she faced. She retired the side in order in five of her 7.0 innings of work, also fanning at least two batters in four of her innings.
SSU starter Jessie Dupuis was up to the challenge as well as neither side allowed a runner to cross home plate until the bottom of the 5th.
After the Seawolves broke through with their run, the Toros answered with an unearned run in the 6th to knot the game at 1-1.
An inning later, Bravo turned on a 1-1 offering and belted a deep blast over the left field fence to break the tie. The Toros added two more on a
Raquel Jaime 2RBI single, and that was more than enough as Wies needed just 11 pitches to retire the side in the 7th to pick up her eighth win of the year.
The Toros looked to continue their momentum in the nightcap, loading the bases with just one out, but an infield fly and backwards K put a stop to the threat.
SSU took full advantage of the momentum swing, scoring twice in both the 1st and 4th innings, and ending the game via the mercy run rule with five in the 5th for the win.
Chenoa Au and
Sydney Diaz both knocked two hits for CSUDH in the loss.
The two teams wrap up the four-game set tomorrow morning, with first pitch of game one set for 11 am.
