CARSON -- Senior 
Scott Ogrin roped three hits that included a fourth-inning grand slam as the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team took an offensive 17-9 win over visiting Cal State San Marcos in game one. The Toros then struck in the middle innings to take game two 7-2 to complete the twinbill sweep and clinch the CCAA series with one game left to play Sunday at noon.
Game 1 - CSUDH 17, CSUSM 9
It became a rare off-day for Toro starter 
Damon Treadwell, who pitched only one inning after the Cougars slapped in three runs to start the game. The Cougars then added two more runs to take a 5-0 lead. 
Although three sacrifice flies in the second and third innings got the Toros on the board, the full rally began in the fourth. With the bases loaded, Ogrin delivered a 3-2 pitch over the left center fence for a grand slam to take a 7-6 lead. Then with two outs, 
Alberto Luevano singled up the middle and 
Emilio Barrera added on to the lead with a two-run shot to left. 
Caleb Ellis scored the inning's seventh run on a wild pitch to take a 10-6 Toro lead.
The Toros added four more runs in the sixth and then three in the seventh to take a 17-6 lead. 
Humberto Chiquito took the win in the first game, going four innings after relieving Treadwell. 
Game 2 - CSUDH 7, CSUSM 2
While the Cougars struck first again with one run in the second, the Toros came back in the third inning, all with two down. 
Connor Bell drew a walk and scored on 
Eric Smelko's triple to right field. Ogrin gave the Toros a lead with a 2-run home run to opposite right field, his second on the day.
Though the Toros got their fourth run in the fourth, the Toros did more damage in the fifth. Smelko started off by reaching on an error and scored on another error when Ogrin reached. Luevano doubled to right to score in Ogrin and Barrera followed with an RBI single to take a 7-1 lead.
Nate Ortiz hurled in five innings, striking out five and only walking two.
