CARSON -- Senior guard
Dawnyel Lair was one rebound away from posting her first-career triple-double as she and
Asia Jordan led Cal State Dominguez Hills to a dominating 88-58 blowout over visiting and No. 14-ranked Alaska Anchorage to keep their perfect record intact at 10-0.
Jordan poured in a game-high 18 points in the win, with Lair contributing 14 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds.
The Toros rolled to a 47-27 lead after the first two quarters, nailing 15-of-38 shots from the floor that included 5-of-9 from downtown in the first 10 minutes of play and a 13-0 start to the contest.
Anchorage cut its deficit to single digits at the 6:24 mark before a
Nala Williams triple pushed CSUDH's lead back to 12 at 16-4 on the next possession.
Four-consecutive
Auren Isaacson free throws gave the hosts a 25-10 lead with 2:36 left in the first as the Toros took an 11-point lead after one.
The next quarter nearly mirrored the first as CSUDH outscored its opponent 22-13, with its lead reaching 23 on two occasions, the last courtesy of a pair of Jordan freebies to make it 43-20 with 2:06 left before the half.
After the break, the Toro lead reached as high as 29 at 63-34 on a Jordan fastbreak layup, with the quarter ending with the Toros up comfortably at 70-45.
It was more of the same in the fourth as the lead ballooned to 31 twice as the Toros rolled to the win.
The Toros shot a sizzling 45.3% from the floor, draining at least 40% of their shots in three of the four quarters.
Isaacson and
Danyell Booker each contributed 13 points in the rout, as the Toros also dominated on the boards (+16) and assists (+7), also turning the ball over two less times.
CSUDH will host Cal State East Bay on Friday, December 30, making up a postponed game from earlier this season.  First tip will be at 2 pm in the Torodome.
