LOS ANGELES –
Auren Isaacson scored 17 points,
Danyell Booker added 15 along with eight rebounds, but the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team dropped an 87-73 decision to crosstown rivals Cal State LA at University Gym Saturday afternoon.
Destiny McAllister joined Isaacson and Booker in the double-digit column by scoring 11 points.
Amaya Snowden had nine points to go along with her six rebounds.
Isaacson continues to be the Toros' scoring machine. The sophomore has scored 10 or more points in all eight games played, averaging 14.7 points per game this season. Her 17 points is the second-highest this season.
Despite going 26-for-57 (45.6 percent) from the field, the Toros struggled on the glass as the Golden Eagles dominated the rebounding column 54-23. LA went 33-for-77 (43 percent) on the afternoon.
The Golden Eagles led for practically the entire game, but the Toros kept within reach, even getting to within two after traveling by as many as eight in the opening quarter.
After playing the last three games on the road to start CCAA play, the Toros will step out of conference one last time to play Bethesda at the Torodome Saturday at 1 p.m., beginning a season-long six-game homestand.
