SAN MARCOS –
Auren Isaacson scored 15 points to continue the streak of scoring 10 or more points all season long, but it wasn't enough as the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team fell to CCAA preseason favorite Cal State San Marcos 71-65 at The Sports Center Thursday evening.

The sophomore Isaacson has reached double figures in the points column in all six games, dating back to her career-high 24 in the season-opener.

Deejanae Poland contributed to 13 points and Danyell Lair had 11. Lair, along with
Asia Jordan, led the rebounding category with eight of the Toros' 48 boards while three others each had five.

Except for rebounding, which the Cougars won 44-38, both sides shot 39 percent. San Marcos hit 10 of their shots from 3-point range to the Toros' four.

Dominguez Hills started the game trailing by as many as five 3:10 into the game. A 9-0 run enabled the Toros to take the lead for the first time in the game, putting an 11-7 halfway into the opening quarter.

A layup and 3-pointer by Isaacson with seven minutes left in the first half propelled the Toros to a 22-21 lead, which turned out to be the final time the Toros were up front. The Cougars would go into intermission leading 37-31.

The Toros wrap up the road trip Saturday at Cal State LA. Tipoff is at 1 p.m. Current CSUDH students may catch a bus ride for free to Cal State LA. The bus leaves Parking Lot 7 at 11:45 a.m.
