POMONA – The Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team came just a few points short from forcing a game four, but No. 22 Cal Poly Pomona held on to win in three games (11-25, 13-25, 22-25) Friday evening.

The Toros trialed 16-7 in the third set until a 9-2 run cut the deficit to within two. A few serves later, the Toros would win 5-of-6 rallies to make it a 23-22 deficit, but back-to-back kills by the Broncos sealed the win.

Angelina Cabal was credited for 13 assists while
Gabbie Silva but up the same number in the digs column.

Cal Poly Pomona hit 26 percent of their attack.

Dominguez Hills' tough road weekend doesn't get any easier as it heads further east to play the defending national champions and No. 5 Cal State San Bernardino. First serve is at 7 p.m.
