SAN BERNARDINO – The Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team came up short again from extending the match for the second night in a row, only No. 5 Cal State San Bernardino held on to complete the sweep (14-25, 17-25, 21-25) at Coussoulis Arena Saturday night.

The Toros had to rally from an 8-3 gap to start the third game. They did win 5-of-6 rallies to make it a 13-11 deficit and got to within one point when back-to-back kills from Renee Wheeler and Jenna Sandall made it a 17-16 Yotes lead. Darien Mann got two straight kills to make it a 21-20 CSUSB lead, but two attack errors and two kills from national player of the year Alexis Cardoza sealed the win for the Yotes.

Wheeler ended the night with seven kills while Mann had six. Angelina Cabal had 15 assists and for the second consecutive night Gabbie Silva put a similar number in the digs column.
