CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team fell to No. 21 Cal Poly Ponoma in three sets (14-25, 10-25, 12-25) in the Torodome Saturday, wrapping up one of the most difficult parts of its 2021 schedule that featured two nationally-ranked opponents.
Bailey Fuches continues to lead the Toros on the attack column, tallying nine kills to go along with six assists and four digs.
Angelina Cabal setup 13 kills as well as made five digs.
Jazminn Parrish led the way for a Cal Poly Pomona team (12-1, 5-1 CCAA) that came to Carson suffering its first loss of the season at Cal State LA Friday night. She recorded 14 kills while Kira Zimmerman was credited for 33 assists.
The Toros go back on the road next weekend, visiting Stanislaus State on Friday and Chico State on Saturday. Both are 5 p.m. starts.
