HAYWARD –
Holly Kaemerle scored twice to keep pace with Cal State East Bay, but the Pioneers snuck in a golden goal 1:33 into the second overtime period to stop Cal State Dominguez Hills' rally in a 3-2 result to officially open CCAA women's soccer play at Pioneer Stadium Friday night.
The Toros (3-5-0, 0-1-0, 0 Pts. CCAA) found themselves quickly in a 1-0 deficit 3:35 into the match. Toro keeper
Ashley Correia made a great defensive save on a fastbreak but a second shot following the deflection arched over her and into the goal.

Dominguez Hills had to play catchup again after East Bay (5-2-1, 1-0-0, 3 Pts. CCAA) moved ahead in the 20
th minute. It was 17 minutes later when Kaemerle's second goal arrived. She had to battle two defenders at the top of the box but managed to get her right foot on it to shoot it into the goal on a one-bouncer.
The two sides would keep it a 2-2 battle until the start of the second overtime period, when Tami Kwong broke through the Toro defense to deliver a perfect shot in the goal to win the contest.
East Bay edged Dominguez Hills in the shot department 20-17. Correia had to make six saves on the evening.
The Toros head to the Valley for a Sunday matchup with Stanislaus State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
