HAYWARD –
Sulaiman Bah scored not once, not twice, but three times for the first hat trick of the season as the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team pounded Cal State East Bay 7-1 in the official CCAA opener at Pioneer Stadium Friday evening.
Bah becomes the first Toro to find the back of the net three times since Robert Roosen did it in 2019.
Brandon Lee and
Alberto Carrillo were also key contributors to the blowout win with each scoring twice. Carrillo also notched a pair of assists, helping the first two goals of the match.
The Toros (4-1-1, 1-0-0 CCAA) showed dominance in the shot on goal column, outshooting the Pioneers (1-6-1, 0-1-0 CCAA) 15-4. Overall, Dominguez Hills won that area 28-17.
Bah scored his first goal five minutes into the match and completed the trifecta in the 21
st and 56
th minutes.
Lee's goal in the 19
th minute became the difference in the match.
Even though the match was well out of reach, Carrillo furthered up the gap with his first goal at 76:10 and his second goal 63 seconds later.
The Toros now head to the Valley to play Stanislaus State Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The match will wrap up a long four-week gap between home contests.
