SAN FRANCISCO - Down 42-30 at halftime, the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team outscored San Francisco State 55-36 in the second half to prevail by a final score of 85-78 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Thursday at The Swamp.

CSUDH (12-15, 9-12 CCAA) had four players in score in double figures. Freshman
Ariana Harper compiled 21 points. Junior
Janelle Sumilong pitched in 20 points and dished out five assists.
Ahlisha Henderson recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Senior
Destinee Williams had 11 points and fellow senior
Dijour Ledbetter grabbed 15 rebounds.

The Toros could only muster 10 points in the first quarter and trailed by 13 at the end of the first 10 minutes. The Gators opened the margin to 15 points, twice, in the second quarter. It was the largest deficit CSUDH would face.

The Toros opened up the second half with a 23-7 run, ignited by a Ledbetter layup and capped off by a Sumilong 3-pointer, to take a 53-52 lead. From there, CSUDH never looked back and did not trail the rest of the way. A 3-pointer from Williams in the fourth quarter gave the Toros their biggest advantage of 14 points, 73-59, with 4:50 remaining.

CSUDH will have a day off before taking on Sonoma State on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 1 p.m.
