SAN MARCOS - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team only had six players available and fell to Cal State San Marcos by a score of 74-55 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Saturday at the Torodome.

CSUDH (10-14, 7-11 CCAA) was led by freshman
Ariana Harper who played all 40 minutes and scored 23 points. Senior
Destinee Williams added 16 points and fellow senior
Dijour Ledbetter had double-digit rebounds with 11.

The Toros kept it close in the first half and trailed by only four points, 31-27, at halftime. The Cougars had an 11-point advantage, 31-20, but Harper took control and scored seven unanswered points before the end of the half.

With only six players available for CSUDH, fatigue started to take a toll in the second half as CSUSM started to pull away and led by 18 points, 56-38, at the end of the third quarter and ultimately prevailed by 19 points.

The Toros will host Cal Poly Pomona for its next matchup, Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
