CARSON - Cal State Dominguez Hills outrebounded Humboldt State 51-31 to earn a 64-58 win in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball matchup, Thursday at the Torodome.

Destinee Williams filled the stats sheet and was the leading scorer for CSUDH (8-9, 5-6 CCAA) with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Fellow seniors
Alzena Henry and
Ahlisha Henderson each recorded a double-double. Henry had 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Henderson pitched in 10 points, 10 boards and two blocks. Alexia Thrower led HSU (9-7, 5-6 CCAA) with 19 points.
The Lumberjacks started hot and led by nine points, 20-11, at the end of the opening 10 minutes. It was their largest advantage of the contest. The Toros turned it around in the second half and outscored HSU 20-9 in the period to lead 31-29 at halftime. Henry led CSUDH up until that point with 10 points.
The Lumberjacks evened the score, 40-40, before the Toros closed out the third period on a 9-2 run, capped off by a Henry layup, to lead 49-42. CSUDH was able to hold off HSU and led by at least five points throughout the final period and ultimately prevailed by six.
The Toros will have a day off before hosting Stanislaus State on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m.
