Toros Shutout Saints for First Win

LACEY, Wash. - The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 result over Saint Martin's, Saturday at SMU Soccer Field.

The Toros are now 1-3 on the season. The Saints suffered their first loss and are now 2-1-1.

CSUDH scored the lone goal of the contest in the 15th minute as freshman Christian Djurasevic stole a bad touch from a SMU defender, dribbled past him and beat the goalie one-on-one. Senior goalkeeper Julian Tafolla-Cisneros came away with four saves and his first shutout of the season to earn the win.

"It was a well-deserved win," said head coach Eddie Soto. "Our group is making strides and that is what's important at this time. On to the next match."

The Toros will play at Biola on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.

Toro Notes: Djurasevic has now scored in two consecutive games … Sophomore Roberto Rivera and Tafolla-Cisneros have played every minute on the field this season.
