CARSON - Cal State Dominguez Hills split a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) softball doubleheader against Cal State East Bay, Saturday at Toro Diamond. The Toros fell in game one 7-1, before taking the second game 10-2 in six innings. Combined with the twin bill sweep Friday, CSUDH wins the four-game series, 3-1. The Toros are now 23-15 overall and 17-13 in conference play. The Pioneers are now 11-29 overall and 7-21 in the league.
It was also Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day at Toro Diamond as CSUDH's honorary teammate
Raven Stewart threw out the first pitch.

- The Toros could only muster one run and fell by a six-run margin. CSUDH's lone score came from senior
Damari Simon in the third inning as she smoked one to left field for her second home run of the series and her ninth of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
- CSUEB scored one run in the first, two in the fourth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh for its seven runs in the contest.
