TURLOCK - The Cal State Dominguez Hills softball team stayed undefeated at the Tournament of Champions, presented by the City of Turlock and hosted by Stanislaus State, with two wins, Saturday at Pedretti Sports Complex. The Toros took down a pair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) foes in Northwest Nazarene, 1-0 in eight innings, and Simon Fraser 6-4.
The Toros improve to 20-13 overall.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- 
Alyssa Olague and 
Ashley Wies were stellar in the circle for the Toros, combining for an eight-inning shutout. Olague retired the first nine batters in order, five of them on strikeouts. After giving up a hit in the top of the fourth, Wies came in for Olague and held the shutout the rest of the way.
- CSUDH got the only score of the game in the top of the eighth. Senior 
Damari Simon was placed on second due to international tie-breaking rules and took third on senior 
Jazmin Guzman's sacrifice bunt. Simon came home on a hit by Wies to right center.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Simon Fraser quickly took a 1-0 advantage with a RBI double in the top of the first.
- CSUDH scored five runs in the bottom of the third to take a 5-1 lead that it would not relinquish the rest of the way. Senior 
Rachael Sandoval had two RBI with Simon, sophomore 
Chloe Wenger and junior 
Jade Loe recording one each in the frame.
- The Toros got some insurance in the sixth with one run. With Loe at third and junior 
Lyzette Reveles at first, CSUDH executed a delayed double steal that brought Loe home.
- The Toros gave up three runs in the top of the seventh, but were able to get the three outs necessary to close the game.
