CARSON –
Pierson Loska driven four runs on three hits to lead a slugfest in which both Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State San Bernardino combined for 26 hits in the Toros' 12-9 game two win at Fiscalini Field Friday night.
The win gives the Toros (4-8, 3-7 CCAA) their first winning streak on the season and will have a chance to extend it beyond Sunday when the series moves to Toro Field for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Trailing by one since the first inning, the Toros took a 3-1 lead in the third on Jimenez's sacrifice fly, Loska's go-ahead RBI double and
Jeremy Ciolek's one-run single.
- The Coyotes (5-9, 2-7 CCAA) scored three more runs in the next two innings to take a 4-3 lead. The Toros responded in the fifth with
Joe Canepa hitting an RBI single and Ciolek hit a grounder in which the defense traded a run for an out.
- The difference in the game eventually came in the seventh, when the Toros scored three to take a 12-6 lead.
Bailey Bordas started the momentum with a double to move both him and leadoff man
Kaelan Crisosto into scoring position. Decatrel singled in Crisosto and was moved into second on
Aaron Greenfield's walk. Jimenez followed with another sac fly and RBI singles from Loska and Ciolek provided the insurance policy for the Toros.
- The three-run seventh became critical as the Coyotes scored three more after to make it a 12-9 score.
POSTGAME NOTES
- Loska has been on a tear since opening day. The junior not only leads the ballclub in nearly every offensive category, he has hit safely in 11 of 12 games.
