Cougars Take Twinbill, Series From Toros

SAN MARCOS – The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team dropped two games to Cal State San Marcos in the finale of a four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) series Sunday. The Toros dropped game one, 7-2, and the seven-inning game, 9-5.

The Toros fall to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Trailing 3-0 after three, the Toros got to within one when Canepa belted a two-run shot to right field.
- The deficit was short lived as the Cougars (10-4, 6-2 CCAA) countered with two runs in their half of the fourth and added a run each in the next two innings.

The Toros would load the bases and score three more runs on Jeremy Ciolek's walk, Domenic Colacchio's sacrifice fly and Kaelan Crisosto's RBI single to left center.
- Decatrel would lead off the fourth with a single and eventually scored on Loska's base hit through the left side, giving the Toros a 5-1 lead.
