SEASIDE - The Cal State Dominguez Hills softball team split a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheader, Saturday at the Otter Sports Complex. The Toros fell in game one 3-2 before taking the finale 5-4. Combined with Friday's sweep, CSUDH wins the four-game series 3-1. The Toros are now 9-6 overall and 7-5 in conference play. The Otters are 6-9 overall and 5-7 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Trailing by two, the Toros scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead. Lane started the frame with a double and Simon reached on an error to put two runners on. Canizales hit a double in the next at bat to move Simon to third, score Lane and cut it to one. Junior
Jade Loe forced a second Otter error of the inning to bring in Canizales and Simon as the Toros took a one-run advantage.

Ashley Wies retired the CSUMB Otters in consecutive order in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the win.
- CSUDH scored first right out of the gate after Loe drew a walk and was brought in on a double by senior
Rachael Sandoval.
- CSUMB responded with four runs in the bottom of the first for a 4-1 lead.
