CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills softball team swept a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheader by scores of 11-5 and 4-3 in eight innings, respectively, Sunday at Toro Diamond. Combined with Saturday's doubleheader split, the Toros take the four-game series from Stanislaus State 3-1. The Toros improve to 6-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play. The Warriors drop to 4-9 overall and 1-7 in the CCAA.

- Stanislaus State scored one in the first, but the Toros responded with four runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to take a 4-1 lead. Sophomore

Jazmin Guzman's sacrifice bunt and came home on a single from freshman
Amanda Canizales. Canizales advanced to second on senior Damri Simon's groundout and reached third on a Warrior error forced by senior

- CSUDH added three more runs in the second for a 7-1 advantage. Canizales hit a single and came home on Simon's triple. Loe was hit by a pitch and both runners touched home on Wenger's RBI double.
- The Warriors got one run in the top of the third before the Toros responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Sandoval hit a single, stole second and came home on Loe's RBI hit. Wenger then homered for the second run of the inning.
- Stanislaus State got two runs in the top of the fifth before CSUDH answered with one run each in the bottom of the fifth and sixth for an 11-4 lead. The Warriors were only able to get one run across in their final opportunity in the top of the seventh.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- CSUDH scored first in the bottom of the opening inning. Telles hit a single, took second as Simon was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Canizales. Loe hit a groundout RBI to score Telles.
- Stanislaus State responded with three runs in the top of the second inning.
- The Toros got one run each in the fourth and fifth inning to even the score. In the fourth inning, Simon reached on a Warrior error, stole second, stole third and came home on a groundout RBI from Canizales. In the fifth, Sandoval hit a double and was pinch ran for by senior
Lexi Madrid. Reveles laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance Madrid to third and she came home on junior
Jessica Lane's RBI single.
- With the score even, the game went into extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth, Simon hit a double and advanced to third on a groundout from Canizales. Loe flied out to right field, but it was deep enough to plate Simon for the walk-off win.
