Box Score CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team fell in heartbreaking fashion to Cal State LA by a final score of 66-65 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) mathcup, Thursday at the Torodome.

Wonder Smith's 14 points. Khalil Williams was the Golden Eagles' (8-4, 3-3 CCAA) leading scorer with 18 points.

Neither team had complete control in a back-and-forth first half as CSLA went into halftime with a slight edge, 30-29. The second half went much the same way with both teams taking turns with the lead. With the game even, 64-64, junior
Kaden Bradley knocked down a free throw to give the Toros a one-point advantage. However, the Golden Eagles responded with a basket by Williams with 4.8 seconds remaining as CSLA took the lead, 66-65. Senior
Wonder Smith's subsequent buzzer-beater attempt was no good as the Golden Eagles prevailed by one.
