CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team fell to 22nd-ranked UC San Diego by a final score of 85-63 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball matchup, Tuesday at the Torodome.

CSUDH (4-7, 1-4 CCAA) was led by sophomore
Lea Anderson's 18 points. Two other Toros scored in double figures with senior
Ahlisha Henderson and junior
Gabrielle Leos pitching in 11 and 10 points, respectively. Tyla Turner led UC San Diego (7-1, 3-1 CCAA) with 18 points.

The Toros kept it close in the first half and trailed by six, 25-19, after the opening quarter. CSUDH used cut the margin to three, 42-39, at halftime with the trio of Anderson, Leos and
Alzena Henry combining for 23 points.

Ahlisha Henderson free throws with a little under 4:30 left in the third period evened the score, 49-49. UCSD went on an 11-1 run to close out the quarter to take a 60-50 lead going into the final 10 minutes of play. The Tritons kept their foot on the pedal in the fourth quarter and nabbed a 22-point lead, 85-63, which was their largest lead and accounted for the final score of the game.

CSUDH will have a day off before hosting Cal State LA on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
