LA MIRADA - Cal State Dominguez Hills had five players score in double figures to defeat Biola in a women's basketball matchup by a final score of 78-71 to close out the CCAA/PacWest Challenge, Saturday at Chase Gymnasium.

Ahlisha Henderson and junior
Gabrielle Leos added 13, 12, 12 and 11 points, respectively. Henderson and Williams each recorded a double-double with 13 and 12 rebounds, respectively. Nine of Henderson's 13 boards came on the offensive end. Biola (0-2) was led by Danita Estorga's game-high 22 points.

"I was happy to see the resiliency of our team tonight. We had a tough loss yesterday, but our players bounced back and fought for this win," said head coach
John Bonner. "We have a lot to work on, way too many turnovers and defensive lapses, but getting the first win is always satisfying. We'll enjoy it tonight and get back to work on Monday."

CSUDH dominated the opening 10 minutes and led 16-9 after the first quarter. The Eagles resounded and put up 28 points in the second period to grab a 37-33 lead at halftime. The Toros took the lead for good in the third quarter and didn't look back, outscoring Biola 45-34 to come away with the seven-point triumph.

The Toros will travel to and play Fresno Pacific on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. for their next matchup.
