AZUSA - Cal State Dominguez Hills fell to fourth-ranked Azusa Pacific in a non-conference women's basketball matchup by a final score of 79-67, Tuesday at the Felix Event Center.

CSUDH (4-3) had four players in double figures, led by freshman
Ariana Harper's 18 points. Seniors
Jasmine Phoolka,
Dijour Ledbetter and
Destinee Williams contributed 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively. APU (5-0) was led by Laura Pranger with 15 points.

The Toros kept it close early and grabbed their biggest lead, 11-8, with a little under two minutes left in the opening quarter. CSUDH trailed by one, 12-11, at the end of 10 minutes. The Cougars opened the game in the second period and opened up to a 33-20 advantage at halftime.

APU kept its foot on the pedal in the second half and earned a 23-point lead, 77-54, its largest advantage of the game with three minutes remaining. The Toros finished the game strong with a 13-2 run, with five from Harper and six from Phoolka, as the Cougars triumphed by 12 points.

CSUDH will host Biola on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. for its next matchup.
