TURLOCK - The Stanislaus State offense was too much to handle, as Cal State Dominguez Hills fell in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball matchup by a final score of 85-67, Saturday at Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena.

Janelle Sumilong led CSUDH (4-2, 1-1 CCAA) with 13 points each. Henry recorded a double-double by adding 14 rebounds, six of those coming on the offensive end. Sophomore

Destinee Williams were the other two Toros in double figures with 11 points each. Anderson not only got points for herself, but she helped her teammates as well, dishing out five assists. Lauren Toler was the leading point scorer for the Warriors (3-3, 2-0 CCAA) with 20 points.

Stanislaus State started the game with the momentum and led by as much as eight points, twice, in the opening frame. The Toros responded and closed to within two, 22-20, by the end of the quarter being able to draw eight Warrior fouls and going 10-for-13 from the charity stripe. Stanislaus State was able to separate in the second period, as CSUDH went into halftime down 47-33.

The Warriors kept their foot on the pedal in the second half and ultimately prevailed by 18 points. CSUDH closed the gap to as little as 10 points, with less than four minutes remaining, but the margin deemed to be insurmountable. Â

The Toros will take a break from conference play and travel to Azusa Pacific on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
